Located approximately 5 kilometres north of the Sydney CBD, Cammeray is a great location for Families.
The area is serviced by an extensive bus network to the Sydney central business district, North Sydney, Milsons Point and Crows Nest.

Cammeray is named after the Cammeraygal, the Aboriginal tribe who once resided in the North Sydney area. As Sydney's first quarry, the sandstone blocks from Cammeray made many Sydney Towns first buildings.

Miller Street is the main thoroughfare of Cammeray. Lining the street are a range of restaurants, cafes, the local post office, and many other small businesses. Cammeray has undergone some changes in recent years and now boasts a large mixed use Stockland development. This Centre consists of small boutique style retailers through to Harris Farm Market, a butcher, a medical practice, pharmacy, book shop, salon and more.

Cammeray Public School is located on the corner of Palmer and Bellevue Streets and caters for students from Kindergarten to Year 6. There is also a pre–school and childcare centre located at Warwick Avenue in Green Park.

An area popular amongst fitness enthusiasts and dog lovers is Tunks Park. For the sports lovers Cammeray has cricket pitches during the summer, soccer, rugby league and union fields during the winter.

Additionally, there is a small boat ramp located on the eastern edge of Tunks Park which allows access to Middle Harbour and lovely bushwalking trails which lead to Naremburn and Northbridge.

Cammeray Golf Course is a nine-hole course that is situated between Cammeray Road and the Warringah Freeway. Local residents also enjoy the facilities at the ANZAC Club and the North Sydney Leagues Club.
